How We Wake

The trees are dazzling this morning!
Jesus on the mountain was called in love by God and then went on to face great suffering for love of us. We also today call people by name in love to help them in life.
Fr. Martin at 6 pm Mass today referred to the gospel passage where Peter, James and John were so elated to witness the transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain top that they wanted to stay there forever. Jesus said that no, we must go back down the mountain for now and struggle with life. Fr. Martin drew the parallel where we have also had periods of great joy but right now we must contend with Covid-19 - this will also pass.

Trocaire boxes can now be collected from the back of both our churches and can be returned at Easter time. This money goes towards many vital humanitarian projects in less well off countries.
