Five former parish priests of Glanmire parish are buried in the grounds of St Joseph’s Church. The headstones are an imposing presence to the passerby. The priests who are buried here are: Canon Thomas Shindwin (died 1922); Revd T. A. Murray (died 1945); Canon John Goold (died 1949); Canon John Forde (retired 1985, died 1994); Archdeacon Séan Burke (retired 1998, died 2000). Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh acu.
