New Mass Schedule

A new schedule of Masses for the pastoral area will come into operation on the weekend of Saturday 31st december 2011 / Sunday 1st January, 2012.

Each parish has had to make sacrifices to meet the limitations of fewer and older clergy being available for appointment in the diocese.

Carraig na bhFear Parish

 Saturday Vigil:           7.30pm

Glanmire  Parish

 St Michael’s, Upper Glanmire

Sunday:                       10.00am

St Joseph’s, Springhill

Saturday Vigil:           6.00pm

Sunday:                       9.00am, 10.30am, 12 noon

Glounthaune Parish

Saturday Vigil:           Glounthaune:   6.00 pm

Sunday:                       Glounthaune:   9.30 am   12.00 noon 

                                        Knockraha 10.00 am 

                                        Little Island:   11.00am

Watergrasshill / Glenville

Saturday Vigil:         Watergrasshill:         7.30pm

Sunday:                       Glenville:       10.00am

                                        Watergrasshill: 11.30am

This new Mass rota is worked out on the basis of the diocesan directive whereby each priest is limited to three masses at weekends. With six priests in the pastoral area, the schedule takes account of the possibility of one priest being absent. Hence 5 priests will take responsibility for 15 masses at weekends from the weekend of Saturday 31st December / Sunday 1st January.
