Train to become a pre-marriage course facilitator

We are inviting parishioners to consider training to become pre-marriage course facilitators with the national marriage agency Accord. If you are married more than five years and would like to get involved in this important work then make contact with one of the priests or with Eileen in the parish office. If you prefer you may contact Accord directly. A selection day is being held on Saturday, 16th July for those who would like to become involved. The following is the text of a poster issued by Accord:

ACCORD is Looking for people:

 To present programmes that enable people to prepare for marriage and to keep their marriage alive for life. 

Qualities Needed

 Ability to relate easily to people

 Ability to work as part of a team

 Ability to develop at a personal level

Candidates need to have an awareness and a commitment to working within a Catholic organisation.

What is involved?

 Two year training—part time

 Commitment to work with ACCORD for 3 years minimum in a voluntary capacity after training.
