Glanmire parish belongs to the family of parishes comprising Carrig na bhFear, Glanmire, Glounthaune and Watergrasshill & Glenville.

This family of parishes is served by Glanmire is served by  co-PP Fr Christy Fitzgerald, resident in Watergrasshill, co-PP Fr Pat Fogarty, resident in Glanmire, co-PP Canon Martin Keohane, resident in Carrig na bhFear, CC Fr Pat Nugent, resident in Glanmire and co-PP Fr Damian O’ Mahony, resident in Glounthaune.

There are 2 chuches in Glanmire, St. Joseph’s Church in Springhill, Glanmire and St. Michaels Church, in Upper Glanmire.

There are 4 primary schools in Glanmire parish St Joseph’s, St Michael’s , New Inn and Scoil na nOg.  Many children from Glanmire also attend the nearby Brooklodge and Scoil Ui Drisceoil.

There are 2 post-primary schools in Glanmire; Glanmire Community College and Colaiste an Phiarsaigh.
